Hey guys! Another year, another ’50 Facts About Me’ Tag – this is totally becoming a tradition. If you haven’t caught up on the last two years of the tag – they’re linked here (2016 + 2017). Seeing a lot of the questions are still the same (I still keep my closet door closed if my door is open, and I would still bury hidden treasure in the middle of nowhere), I thought I would answer some new questions this year, just to spice things up a bit. Without further ado, here we go!
1. Were you named after anyone?
My dad really liked the name Elizabeth, but my mum wanted me to be named Scarlett after Scarlett O’Hara from Gone with the Wind, which ended up being my middle name…. so sort of?
2. When was the last time you cried?
Had a little sniffle at my dad’s speech for my 21st birthday! I get really soppy + sentimental about that sort of stuff, even though I don’t like being the center of attention (ironic enough)
3. Do you like your handwriting?
I don’t hate it! I feel like once I get into the knack of writing, it becomes a lot neater, but saying that – I would say it’s better than some people’s!
4. What do you put in your sandwiches?
Lettuce/Spinach, Hummus, Beetroot, Cheese (sometimes), Tuna or Ham and some hot sauce!
5. Do you have/want kids?
Not right now (lol) but in the future, yeah!
6. If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?
Probably! As long as my alternative self, enjoyed good coffee + brunch…
7. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Not crazily amounts! At least I don’t think so?
8. Do you still have your tonsils?
Nope! I got them out when I was five and only remember eating icey-poles and jelly afterward…
9. Would you ever bungee jump?
If you paid me a trillion dollars, I would (lol)
10. What is your favourite cereal?
The Carman’s unsweetened cinnamon + apple one (it’s the best granola ever, hands down)
11. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
12. Do you think you are strong?
I would say I am – I’ve been through a lot of things and gotten past them, so if we’re speaking in a mental sense, I would like to say I am! Saying that, I still have a long way to go: it’s always a learning process!
13. What is your favourite ice-cream?
Anything from Over-The-Moo! Especially the mint and the cookies n’ cream flavours…. pls sponsor me…
14. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Probably the way they dress? Their style etc? Sounds materialistic, but I guess it’s your first impression of someone before you start talking to them!
15. Red or Pink?
I would say I wear more ‘red’ things (like oxblood, deep shades of red etc) than pink, but I do like a good pink wall!
16. What is your least favourite thing about yourself?
hmm… probably my stubbornness and anxiety! It can be really debilitating, but it’s better than it was!
17. Do you miss anyone right now?
Well, I live in Melbourne, but as I am writing this I live in Sydney so I would say I miss my best friend Jas (hey gurl) and my friend’s back in Melbs, but usually I’d be missing my partner (you can read about our long distance story here), my parents + my friends from home! Many people to miss 🙂
18. What movie could you watch over and over again and still love?
Anything with Molly Ringwald in it (lol – that includes Riverdale, even though it’s not a movie) but especially Sixteen Candles + The Breakfast Club.

Strangers by Sigrid!
22. If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?
Hmm, probably yellow (although that is hard to see on white paper!) or maybe a violet? Something colourful!
23. What is your favourite scent?
Freshly cooked bread + grounded coffee!
24. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
25. Beach or City?
City, 100%. I do like the beach every-so-often but I tend to travel to places that have a bit of both so I can relax and chill, but I also feel as if I am not stuck in the resort/hotel/beach all day. Shanghai is one of my favourite places that I’ve traveled to in the past year! But Tokyo is my ultimate travel place.
26. Favourite Sports to Watch?
I don’t tend to follow along too closely with sports, but I enjoy going to watch the basketball every now and again.
27. Hair Colour?
Brown with some blonde highlights.
28. Eye Colour?
29. Do you wear contacts?
I have to, otherwise, I would be a non-functioning human. I have to either wear contacts or glasses, although I tend to wear glasses, just because wearing contacts too much makes my eyes really sore.
30. Favourite Food?
Ramen (lol). Specifically, one of my favourites is Gogyo, which I reviewed – here.
31. Scary Movies or Happy Endings?
I don’t mind true crime (not at night tho lol) but I prefer happy endings or documentaries to horror, anyway.
32. Last Movie/TV Show you watched?
I started watching Hannibal with my partner, which is good so far! We can’t watch it at night because I’ll get nightmares (lol) but it’s a little bit gory for my liking, but an interesting storyline! Plus, the videography skills + the colour palette of the whole show is lovely. Otherwise, I’ve just finished Catfish (lol) as well, which was just an easy watch.
33. What are some of your favourite brands?
It changes depending on what you’re talking about! I like Comme Des Garcons (CDG) for outfit choices, Gorman for outerwear, Converse/Acne for shoes – anything goes really! If it’s good quality + fun, I’ll wear it. Bonus points if it comes in black.
34. Summer or Winter?
Winter! I love days that are sunny, but cold (cold enough to rug up and layer) – however, I’ve never seen snow! Australian winters are just rainy and cold.
35. Hugs or Kisses?
Both (lol) – I’m needy (my partner can attest to that haha)
36. Favourite Dessert?
If I’m going all out, I really like waffles. Otherwise, Ice-cream, chocolate, cheese (yep, as dessert), tiramisu… I’m a dessert fan! Although I am dairy-free (most of the time), so I tend to avoid desserts with cream and things in them. Saying that, my all time ~fave~ dessert is the Snow Egg from Quay, although that’s being taken off the menu. I cri.
37. Strength Training or Cardio?
Strength Training all the way. I really hate running (but I know it’s beneficial, so I do it anyway).
38. Computer or TV?
Computer! I wouldn’t be able to blog, edit photos AND watch Netflix without it?
39. What book are you reading right now?
I’m just about to start the Knife of Never Letting Go OR Alias Grace, I haven’t decided yet!
40. When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone?

No tattoos, but I have my cartilage and my seconds (and first piercings) done.

Rain falling on the window when you’re going to bed – I find it SO relaxing.
43. How many languages can you speak?
One fluently (English) but I learned Japanese (4 Years), French (8 Years) and Italian (A Month). Learning languages at school didn’t really mesh with me, I prefer just to immerse myself in the culture and go from there. I’m going to Japan in November, so I better get ready to re-learn Japanese!
44. What is the furthest you’ve been from home?
45. Honestly, are things going the way you planned?
Not totally! But I’ve been learning to accept that – some of the best things that have happened to me haven’t been planned or on my radar, so it’s all a learning curve.
46. What’s your favourite thing about your best friend(s)?
Their ability to allow me to chat about anything! I really love being able to broach them with issues + concerns or just general life advice and know I’ll get an honest opinion, not just what I want to hear. Plus, they send me dog memes.
47. Where are you living right now? Do you think that will change in the future?
Melbourne, Australia – and I hope not! I have an affinity to Melbs that I haven’t felt for any other city… a year and a bit in, and I still love it as much as I did when I first moved.
48. Do you have any strange phobias?
Spiders + Injections! I’ve gotten a tiny bit better with the injections though.

White! The best and the worst decision (it’s a pain to keep clean)

I have two dogs back home in Syd, but I want two dogs of my own when I move out + the time is right!
Hope you all learned a bit more about me for this year’s fun fact escapades!
