Hello, all! If you haven’t caught on by now, I am THE biggest fan of coffee. Not even for the buzz but for the taste.
I am also Melbourne’s biggest fan and so when the two collide – I am one very very happy girl. Meet ‘Black Velvet’ Coffee Roasters – also known as my FAVOURITE coffee shop in Melbourne (and yes, the barista’s know me).
Although Black Velvet is one of my favourite sit-in places (they have bar stools in the front where you can sit) but it is mostly takeaway. You’ll find me on my way here to my lectures before university that is for sure.
The one fault about this place is no ‘sit in’ food – they have pastries and some take away goods but if you’re looking for a dine- in coffee shop, this isn’t the place.
Nevertheless, the baristas are hella good at their job, they’re super friendly (and let me photograph to my heart’s content) and they dish out a mean cappuccino – making this my favourite coffee spot in Melbourne.
Black Velvet Coffee has locations – the main store in Exhibition Street and the Galleria (the one I visited) in Little Collins. They also have a membership, where you can get roasted coffee beans straight to your door – I hope they have that option for university students!
