Travel Diary 03 – Amsterdam

London, for me, had always been the place that I could see myself living in as a mature adult. I loved (I still do!) the bustling streets and the easy transport, the accessibility to the whole of Europe….. and the accents! However, this all changed when I went to Amsterdam in March. I fell totally head-over-heels in love with the city and finally saw myself in a place apart from “The British Motherland”. Amsterdam is such a unique city with history and culture, amazing food, some of the best coffee I have ever had (even better than Australia!) and all the people are so friendly. Not to mention the equally as amazing tram system + Centraal station, which is one of the most beautiful train stations, in my opinion.

Although Amsterdam is also known for its more shady things which I won’t get into – the culture and the whole atmosphere of this city is captivating.

I returned to Amsterdam in early July which just confirmed my love + desire to come and live in this city at some point in my life (and it’s not too far from London!).
