Hello, lovely people of the internet!! Today I am bringing you one of my favourite posts so far. I present to you – the new Urban Decay x Alice in Wonderland collaboration (how beautiful is it ahh!). I was sent these as part of a competition, which I actually entered the night before on twitter and ended up winning (always the way). I had actually been wanting to get my hands on this collection when it first came out, so I am one very excited beauty blogger.
Personally, I find the most wearable colours to be Miranda & Iracebeth and I find the other colours a little harder to work with (just because of the colour scheme – but we’ll see how we go!)
I really love the packaging of the bullet for this product – it reminds me of a kaleidoscope and I hope I can get some use out of these colours during summer. The lipsticks glide on really well and the staying power was really good (I tried Iracebeth on for a day!) – it lasted through most of the day, but like most red lipsticks – it faded after eating. The colours are very vibrant (like most of the UD collections) but I really gravitated towards the two more neutral and wearable colours.
The bullet was a bit hard to open (you have to use some force) but at least that means that it will not come open in your bag (RIP to all the lipsticks I have lost due to the lid roaming loose in my bag….). One of my favourite things about Urban Decay is the etching on the lipstick itself, I find it absolutely adorable and a really nice touch.
Urban Decay is also known for being cruelty free and they have a range of other products, with their most popular being their 24-Hour Liner and the famous ‘Naked’ palettes (I reviewed the first Naked palette in one of my favourites!).
Note to self: make sure you remember that you have swatches on your hand before you rest your hand on the pillow…..
